Great camp site for quiet stay

We got a good tent accommodation adjacent to a water stream that could house a king bed and an extra bed on the floor. The tent was cozy with clean sheets & towels, and supplied hot water from solar heater. As soon as we reached the camp location we were given a warm welcome with chai and pakoda and friendly staff made us to settle very quickly. The food was tasty and offered variety of dishes.

Good location, Tents are comfortable.Toilet is decent. Hot water is supplied in bucket. Excellent veg food. Staffs are treasures of the management. Humble, active, ever helping and honest. Rents and charges are moderate. Overall we had wonderful experience.

Not an experience that you’d wanna have. They have no respect for the customer satisfaction. Their promise of 24 hour electricity and free WiFi is a myth. They don’t have either. Electricity is dependent on the supply and for WiFi, they have a JioFi which barely has any network outside the dining area. Calling themselves a good camp and charging 4300+GST for a twin tent with map(modified American plan) is a plain robbery in daylight. Being a Ladakhi institution, they don’t serve any local food, hell they don’t even serve non veg. What you can eat is dal and paneer. Please find yourselves a hotel or a resort as there plenty around here and stay there.

Tent experience is good. But no hot water. No proper drinking water. No sufficient bedding or pull overs. Food only veg which was big turn off. No camp fires. Care takers and staff lock the dining room at 9.30. Electricity goes away at 10.30. till 7 in morning. Avoid it if u get better options.

For those who have not experienced a tented accommodation, this was the right starting point - clean bedrooms and toilets and erratic power supply! Generator power is available for a few hours in the evening with no power at all from 11pm till early morning. Weak wifi is available whenever there is power. Food is basic but sufficient. Good place to stay for a couple of days.
